who we are
IATSE Local 414 is a Labor Union (AFL-CIO affiliated) representing over 60 Sports Broadcast Technicians in the Greater Milwaukee area. Our members bring you over 150+ local televised sporting events every year. We are Camera Operators, Graphics Operators, Replay Technicians, Audio Engineers, Video Engineers, Technical Directors, Stage Managers and more. If it’s a professional or collegiate sporting event in Wisconsin, chances are our hard working members are there to make sure the show gets on the air. Our highly skilled technicians, with many years of experience, represent some of the best technical talent in the broadcast industry. We bring knowledge and accuracy to the broadcast jobs in our area.
Local 414 members work locally on events such as Brewers and Bucks games, Marquette and UW sports, plus Big Ten Network, FS1 events, and more. Many of our members have worked the biggest events in sports, such as the Super Bowl, NASCAR, US Open, and more.
IATSE Local 414 was chartered under IATSE international in 2014, and has steadily increased in membership ever since. We have negotiated Collective Bargaining Agreements for more than 5 different employers from well-known media companies such as Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports Wisconsin, Program Productions, Inc, to smaller, independent crewing companies. We are fully committed to our members and our community, working tirelessly to improve the overall working conditions, wages, and benefits for our industry.
