We recommend our IATSE Plan C participants use telehealth when possible to help prevent the spread of infection and improve access to care. Empire’s telehealth provider, LiveHealth Online, is a safe and effective way for participants to receive medical guidance related to COVID-19 from their homes using a smartphone, tablet or computer with a web cam.
To promote the use of telehealth services, we are waiving our participants cost shares for LiveHealth Online visits and provider telehealth visits for next 90 days.
Sick Pay from Big Fox
If you have any Sick Time Accrued through Big Fox, you may request a payout of your sick time hours.. Follow the Instructions using the Link Below. You will need to have access to Workday
Union Plus Credit Card
If you have a mortgage or Credit Card with Union Plus, there are some hardship grants available here. You must have had the mortgage or credit card for at least 3 months to qualify.
The Actors Fund
Eligibility requirements for Actors Fund Emergency Financial Assistance:
Current financial need (inability to pay next two month’s bills)
A minimum of five years of recent entertainment industry employment with earnings of at least $6,500 for three out of the last five years OR a minimum of 20 years of industry employment with a minimum of 10 years of earnings of at least $5,000 (please note that income from teaching does not qualify)
Eligibility requirements for dancers—three years of recent dance earnings of at least $2,000 a year
Checklist of required documents for Actors Fund Emergency Financial Assistance:
You must provide a minimum of five years of recent entertainment industry earnings documentation that meets the qualifications stated above. You can do that by providing Union earning printouts from Pension and Welfare Departments, Contracts, pay stubs or W-2, 1099 forms (for professional work only)
Most recent checking/savings bank statement (not printout from ATM)
Current lease, rent statement or mortgage/maintenance
National Benefits Fund Changes
All fees waived for COVID-19 testing for all participants enrolled in Plan A and all Plan C options as well as those enrolled in Triple S. These will be processed as a regular health insurance claim.
Annuity hardship withdrawals have been extended to include a new category of hardship withdrawals to assist those of you who have been affected by COVID-19. If you have lost work, been laid off, or had other losses or expenses due to the virus, you are eligible for immediate withdrawal in the amount of your loss.
