ABOUT IATSE LOCAL 414

Established in 2014, IATSE Local 414 is a labor union affiliated with the AFL-CIO, representing over 60 highly skilled sports broadcast technicians across the greater Milwaukee area and the state of Wisconsin. Our members bring decades of experience and technical excellence to more than 200 locally televised sporting events each year. These include broadcasts of the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, Marquette University, and University of Wisconsin athletics, as well as events aired on networks such as Big Ten Network, FS1, and others.

Many of our technicians have also contributed to some of the largest sporting events in the world, including the Super Bowl, the Summer and Winter Olympics, NASCAR, and the U.S. Open. If there’s a major professional or collegiate sporting event happening in Wisconsin, chances are our dedicated members are behind the scenes making sure it goes on the air.

IATSE Local 414 represents a wide range of broadcast crafts, including:
Technical Director, Audio Mixer, A2, Video Engineer, Camera Operator (including Robotics), Graphics Operator, Graphics Coordinator, EVS Operator, Stage Manager, Utility, Score Box Operator, and Statisticians.

Chartered under IATSE International, Local 414 has successfully negotiated collective bargaining agreements with more than five employers, including major media companies such as Fox Sports 1, FanDuel Sports Network, and Program Productions, Inc., as well as smaller independent crewing firms. We are committed to advocating for our members by improving working conditions, wages, and benefits across the industry.
